PUBLIC POLICIES IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION - REFORMS BASED ON UNSUCCESSFULLY IDENTIFIED PROBLEMS

Veneta Krasteva

Abstract

The report is based on the idea that knowledge of public policies is essential to the way in which a society functions. The report supports the thesis that the reforms made in the field of education are a result of exactly such lack of knowledge - inability to identify the main problem in education. Namely, a deformation in the structure of knowledge that leads to a change in the overall intelligence of the students. The highlight is the importance which the emotional and social intelligence have for the building of children as a future active part of society. The text ends with an emphasis on the importance of both interdisciplinary scientific research in this field and active civil position of the parents.
