Modernity of Unique Products for Bibliographic Citations of  “THOMSON ISI”

Abstract

                “THOMSON ISI” offers unique information products for cited references. Web of Knowledge is a multidisciplinary platform of bibliographic databases and analytical tools, produced by ISI and addressed to end users in scientific institutions. This article describes the history of Citation Indexing, developed from Dr Eugene Garfield and Associates. It also describe the bibliographic databases “Current Contents Connect”, “Web of Science”, including Citation Indexes and analytical tool “Journal Citation Reports” that allows to evaluate and compare journals using citation data. In short is represented the information service with “THOMSON ISI’s resources” in University Library at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridsky”.
